Mike Tully is an independent designer, educator, and writer based in New York City. He works with artists, architects, publishers, and institutions on editorial, exhibition, identity, and research-driven design commissions.

Prior to establishing his independent practice, he worked as the Design Director for The Brooklyn Rail and with The New York Times, Wolff Olins, Lincoln Center, and various New York-based studios. He has been an artist-in-residence at the Internet Archive, San Francisco, and a design fellow with the Center for Urban Pedagogy, New York. He holds an MFA from Yale School of Art, where he was awarded the Critical Practice Research Fellowship and Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library Research Fellowship. His work is held in the collections of De Appel Amsterdam and the Robert B. Haas Family Arts Library at Yale University. He is currently Lecturer at Rutgers Mason Gross School of the Arts and Visiting Assistant Professor at Pratt Institute.
